2017 Leadville Trail 100 MTB

This was my first LV100 and not my last! My racing partner, Mike Slade, and I got an opportunity to race on a Specialized sponsorship slot....2-weeks before the race!! We agreed and decided to really give it our best shot. We had already signed up to volunteer and were planning on being there anyway. Our race day was awesome because we were so evenly matched and rode all day near each other. Ultimately, we crossed the finish line side by side we the exact same time! One of the most rewarding races of my life!

Awesome time great event

I started at the packet pick up at 6:30-10:00 the went to help at the T-shirt pick up and helped with the set up of the start finish line from 10:00 AM - 5:00PM.

Great time today and really glad I signed up to volunteer!

This experience really helped me feel a part of the race's success. I now feel more connected to the Leadville community and definitely can't wait to do the race next year.

Awesome experience volunteering!

My girlfriend, Jody Budde, volunteered with me on both Thursday, August 10th (8.5 hours), and Friday, August 11th (3.5 hours). I was told that her 12.0 hours could be added to my volunteer hours. Is that correct? Is there anything I need to do to make that happen?
