Last year I did it solo and met some other great volunteers. This year I brought 14 of my athletes to the race and half of them volunteered for different areas. Made it much more fun!

This was my first LV100 and not my last! My racing partner, Mike Slade, and I got an opportunity to race on a Specialized sponsorship slot....2-weeks before the race!! We agreed and decided to really give it our best shot. We had already signed up to volunteer and were planning on being there anyway. Our race day was awesome because we were so evenly matched and rode all day near each other. Ultimately, we crossed the finish line side by side we the exact same time! One of the most rewarding races of my life!
