Gather your flock and warm up your appetite at the Baptist Health Turkey Trot Miami 5K/10K presented by Publix! Turkey Trot Miami, formerly known as Turkey Day Run Miami, brings family and friends together with a light-hearted 5K/10K and Kids Trot.  Runners, joggers and walkers are invited to start the Thanksgiving Day in a pre-feast healthy way.

This positions give runners a peace of mind during pre and post-race, than knowing their belongings are safely stored. Duties include labeling and organizing runner's belongings when they drop off, and retrieving them in a timely manner at the end of the race. Bending and lifting up to 12lbs is required for this role. Teardown of gear check area is also included in this position.15/15Over

Volunteers will assist the lead in the parking lot. Volunteers will help organize the lot as cars come in prior to the race15/15Over

As a volunteer at the registration tent, you will help the staff members register new participants or check in pre-registered participants. This means you will have to distribute shirts, race bibs, and whatever other duties the staff members may ask pertaining to registration. For some participants, this is their first race so be excited for them and enthusiastic that you are a part of something so special!39/40Over

As a course spotter volunteer, you will be placed at a location somewhere on the course and your job will be to direct participants where to go so that they don't stray off course. You'll point them to a certain direction and cheer them on in the process! Don't underestimate how much participants appreciate your cheering them on and being such an integral part to having a successful race and achieving the time that they've always set a goal for!18/18Over

Volunteers will unwrap medals and mount them on stands to prepare for when the participants finish. As participants finish, volunteers will distribute medals to participants corresponding to which distance they completed. Finish Line volunteers will also prepare the water bins with ice and bottled water to hand to participants as they finish. Depending on the heat intensity, volunteers may also have to create tubs filled with towels and ice to give to distribute to finishers to cool off. The water station is relatively intense with runners coming to grab the cups quickly. Volunteers will need stay alert and pay close attention to be sure of both their safety and the safety of the participants.
